Teachers
Information for teachers
Auckland Royal Academy's teaching staff are the foundation of everything we do. Our educators are research-active scholars, industry practitioners, and dedicated teachers who bring current knowledge, professional experience, and genuine passion for their subjects into every classroom and every student interaction. The quality and commitment of our teaching staff is the primary reason our graduates achieve the outcomes they come to Auckland Royal Academy to pursue — and the reason students from around the world choose to study with us.
Our Mission and Culture
Auckland Royal Academy is a distinguished public university, values learning in the liberal arts and sciences as a cornerstone of individual development and a vital foundation. We will ensure that our students develop both the skills that a sound education provides and the competencies essential for success and leadership in the emerging creative economy. We will also lead to generating practical and theoretical knowledge that enables people to better understand our world and improve conditions for local and global communities.
How to Apply for a Job
All new job requisitions must be accompanied by up-to-date position description. The position description will be attached to the electronic requisition and reviewed in each step of the approval process. The position description serves as the point of reference when describing the job to potential candidates and applicants. Subsequently, the position description should be made available to the employee once hired and should be an integral part of the yearly evaluation process. You can send us your documents to info@au.ac.nz or contact us for more information.
Salary Ranges and Position Grades for Staff Jobs
Every staff position has a grade level. Local HR offices administer the compensation system for employees in their units, evaluating jobs and determining the grade of each position based on professional knowledge, skills, required education and experience and job responsibilities; and the complexity and scope relative to other University positions.
