Overview
Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Auckland Royal Academy develops the mindset, skills, and networks needed to create new ventures, develop innovative solutions within existing organisations, and contribute to New Zealand's entrepreneurial ecosystem. The programme combines design thinking, business model development, lean startup methodology, marketing, finance, and venture strategy, preparing graduates to launch startups, lead innovation projects, and drive growth within established businesses.
Learning is built around doing. You will develop and pitch business ideas, conduct customer discovery interviews, build minimum viable products, and receive feedback from investors, entrepreneurs, and corporate innovation leaders from Auckland's start-up community. The programme's connection to Callaghan Innovation, Creative HQ, and New Zealand Trade and Enterprise provides access to resources and networks that support both academic learning and real venture development.
Career Opportunities
Entrepreneurship and Innovation graduates have launched successful companies across technology, health, sustainability, food and beverage, and creative industries. Others have taken innovation leadership roles within large New Zealand corporations, government agencies, and social enterprises, applying the entrepreneurial tools and mindset developed at Auckland Royal Academy to drive change and create value in diverse organisational contexts.
Program Learning Outcomes
