Accreditation & Quality Assurance
Auckland Royal Academy operates under the regulatory framework of the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) and the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC). Our programmes are listed on the New Zealand Qualifications Framework (NZQF), ensuring they meet nationally and internationally recognised quality standards.
For international students, accreditation is the most important assurance that your qualification will be valued by employers and academic institutions worldwide. Auckland Royal Academy qualifications are recognised in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, across the Asia-Pacific, Europe, and North America.
Regulatory & Accreditation Bodies
Auckland Royal Academy operates within New Zealand's nationally mandated quality assurance framework.
NZQA
NZQA is New Zealand's national quality assurance body for the tertiary sector. ARA is a registered Private Training Establishment (PTE) under the Education and Training Act 2020, subject to NZQA's External Evaluation and Review (EER) process.
NZQF
All ARA programmes are listed on the NZQF — the nationally recognised framework that classifies NZ qualifications from Level 1 (Certificate) to Level 10 (Doctoral Degree). ARA offers programmes at Levels 5–9.
TEC
The Tertiary Education Commission funds and manages New Zealand's tertiary education system. ARA is a TEC-recognised provider, ensuring access to government-supported student fee structures for eligible domestic students.
Our Quality Commitments
External Evaluation & Review (EER)
ARA undergoes NZQA's External Evaluation and Review cycle — an independent assessment of educational performance and capability, ensuring continuous quality improvement across teaching, assessment, and student support.
Pastoral Care Code
All international students are protected under the Code of Practice for Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Learners (2021). This legally mandates student wellbeing, accommodation standards, and complaints processes.
Programme Approval
Every ARA programme undergoes formal NZQA approval before delivery. Programme content, learning outcomes, assessment standards, and delivery methods are reviewed against national quality benchmarks.
